VANCOUVER, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-nine people were taken to hospital following a six-vehicle crash on an icy stretch of a highway in Canada's British Colombia (BC) Province, CTV reported Monday.
In addition, over 100 people were taken to a warming center after the crash that happened Sunday night, local media said.
The Coquihalla Highway was partially closed in both directions after the accident at about 8:00 p.m. local time Sunday. Northbound lanes reopened shortly before 2:00 a.m. Monday.
British Colombia Emergency Health Services said it had sent 22 ground and air ambulances to the scene.
