ISLAMABAD, March 14 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and 32 others injured in separate rain-triggered accidents in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and tribal areas over the last two days, local reports said Wednesday.

A minor boy was killed and several others injured when they were hit by land sliding triggered off by heavy rains on their way back home from school in Swat district of the province, Radio Pakistan reported.

Two men were killed and several others injured after drowning in a flooded stream in the province.

In another incident, two women were killed and eight others injured when land sliding hit their houses in Kurram Agency tribal area.

Several others were injured in separate incidents of roof collapse caused by heavy rains coupled with windstorm.

Hailstorms were also reported in several areas of the province, destroying standing crops and orchards at hundreds of acres of land.

Local weather office said that the current spell of rain is over and forecasted dry weather from Wednesday evening.
