KIEV, March 15 (Xinhua) -- A passenger plane from Finland's capital Helsinki made an emergency landing at Boryspil International Airport outside the Ukrainian capital, local media reported Thursday, citing the airport's press service.
"There were technical problems, but everything went normally. The landing was successful," Tetyana Yarosh, Boryspil airport spokesperson, told media outlet Ukrainska Pravda.
The plane carried a total of 46 people and no one onboard was hurt in the accident, Yarosh said.
The plane, belonging to Ukrainian International Airlines, was en route from Helsinki to Boryspil, she added.
The Ukrainian State Service for Emergencies has confirmed it was alerted about the emergency situation, but the emergency crews were called off after the aircraft made a safe landing.
