KIEV, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian economic experts have raised their projection for the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2018 by 0.2 percentage point to 3.2 percent, authorities said Friday.
The consensus forecast, published on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, said the Ukrainian economy is expected to perform well this year thanks to increasing exports and domestic demand for goods and services, as well as the rising output of industrial and agricultural sectors.
The forecast was made by experts from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the country's central bank and ten think tanks.
Ukraine's GDP rose by 2.5 percent in 2017, the highest annual growth rate in six years, driven by the expansion of the real estate sector and the information and communications technology industries.
