JAKARTA, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The cumulative of foreign holiday makers travelling into Indonesia by April grew 13.83 percent to 4.97 million people from a year earlier, the national statistics bureau announced on Monday.
On month, the bureau also recorded a fizzy expansion of a 11.04 percent to 130 million people, head of the bureau Kecuk Suhariyanto revealed.
Malaysia, followed by China, Timor Leste, Singapore and Australia, had been ascribed as the most contributive nation to the number of foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia from January to April with figures respectively at 881,000, 682,000, 566,000, 512,000 and 379,000, the official said.
Countries in Southeast Asian region contributed 249,000 visitors to Indonesia during the period, according to the official.
Indonesia has set a target of a total 17 million foreign tourist arrivals for this year after witnessing a 15 million figure in 2017.
