ACCRA, June 13 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were feared dead early Wednesday when two buses collided head-on along the Accra-Kumasi highway at Asuboi near Suhum, 63 km north of Ghana's capital Accra, local media reported.
Among those feared dead were four females including a two year old girl and six men including the driver of one of the buses, the reports added.
The divisional police command however declined to give a specific number of the death toll, adding it was too early but eye witnesses told Xinhua via telephone that the number of casualties was quite high and bodies had been taken to the Suhum Government Hospital Morgue.
They added that the injured whose number was initially put at 33 were also receiving treatment at the same hospital.
