STOCKHOLM, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Swedish police said Tuesday that a shooting in the southern city of Malmo has resulted in the death of two people who sustained critical injures during the incident.
The drive-by shooting occurred Monday night and all the five injured during the incident were sent to hospital, with one of them having succumbed to his wounds soon afterwards.
"Another injured person, a 29-year-old man, died in hospital ... The incident is classified as a murder," the police said in a statement.
Police have secured the site as a suspected crime scene and have blocked the area. Further investigation is ongoing.
