ULAN BATOR, July 3 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of Chinese youth on Tuesday arrived in the Mongolian capital for a seven-day visit aimed at enhancing contact between young people of the two East Asian neighbors.
"Communication between the youth of the two countries will help promote the joint development and prosperity of China and Mongolia," Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming said in a welcome speech, adding that the visit will contribute to furthering friendship between the two peoples.
The 50-member delegation includes scientists, doctors, lawyers, civil servants and businessmen. The Chinese visitors are expected to participate in activities helping them to know better about Mongolia's culture, history, economic development and social progress.
The event is co-organized by the Mongolian Foreign Ministry and the All-China Youth Federation. It was launched as an annual cultural exchange program in 2014.
