VIENTIANE, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Asia-Pacific Action Alliance on Human Resources for Health (AAAH) conference took place here from Tuesday to Wednesday to strengthen health workforce resilience through the One Health approach, digital readiness, and public health collaboration.
Conference participants engaged in site visits, interactive workshops, and discussions aimed at integrating digital tools and cross-sector collaboration to enhance preparedness for future public health emergencies.
Lao News Agency on Thursday quoted Lao Deputy Minister of Health Snong Thongsna, saying that the conference provided a unique platform for learning, networking, and driving collective action towards a resilient health workforce in the Asia-Pacific region.
Discussions centered on the essential role played by the health workforce in building robust health systems that can effectively deal with public health emergencies in the future, while also maintaining the regular performance of necessary services.
The discussions involved overcoming resource strain, resistance to change, and dependence on centralized policies in the Asia-Pacific region, and fostering stronger leadership within the healthcare workforce.
