The 19th National Congress of the CPC reviewed and approved the report, and fully endorsed the commission's work, according to the resolution passed Tuesday at the closing session of the twice-a-decade congress.

They were asked to fulfill their duties to exercise oversight, enforce discipline and ensure accountability as required by the Party Constitution, it said.
The congress called on the discipline watchdogs to hold high the banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and follow the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
