DHAKA, Dec. 21 Xinhua) -- The biggest annual show of the apex body of Bangladesh's hundreds of realtors kicked off in capital Dhaka on Thursday.
Organized by the country's biggest real estate association Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), the five-day exhibition, which was attended by a large number of financial institutions that offered housing loans, attracted some 246 real estate and construction material companies to showcase their products,
Bangladeshi Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the fair at Dhaka's Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), also known as Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center.
REHAB acting President Nurun Nabi Chowdhury said there are a total of 203 stalls in the fair this year with 43 representatives from the building materials companies and banking and non-banking financial institutions.
He expressed his hope that the largest annual fair will help to boost the country's real estate.
REHAB has been arranging the fair in Dhaka since 2001 to offer products and services to the customers.
