Cambodia attracts over 333 mln USD investment from ASEAN in 2017

PHNOM PENH, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia attracted the fixed asset investment of 333.4 million U.S. dollars from its ASEAN member states in 2017, according to a government's report on Friday.

ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

According to the report of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, four ASEAN countries - Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia - had invested in Cambodia last year.

It showed that among them, Singapore was Cambodia's largest investor last year with a promised investment of 252 million U.S. dollars, followed by Vietnam with 51.6 million dollars, Thailand with 15.9 million dollars and Malaysia with 13.9 million dollars.

Their investments had been focused on real estate and construction, agro-industry, agriculture and tourism.
