BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Hindu Kush Region in Afghanistan at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 36.51 degrees north latitude and 70.91 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement. The quake struck at a depth of about 180 km.
