AMMAN, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Jordan will cut diplomatic ties with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Official Gazette said Friday.
A royal decree was issued approving a decision by the cabinet to sever all diplomatic relations with the DPRK.
As per the decision, Jordan will withdraw its recognition of the DPRK's ambassador to Jordan, who resides in Damascus, and terminate the duties of the Jordanese ambassador to the DPRK, who is based in Beijing.
The decision will be conveyed to the DPRK authorities through the embassy in Beijing.
