BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- The Leading Party Members' Group of the State Council held a meeting Thursday to study the spirit of the third plenary session of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
Presided over by Premier Li Keqiang, the meeting noted that the important speech by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, at the third plenum of the 19th CPC Central Committee, systematically summarized the progress in all areas since the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
"The progress was achieved by all members of the Party and the people of all ethnic groups in China, who are united and led by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee," according to a statement issued after the meeting.
"The meeting called on governments at all levels to learn and follow the major decisions and plans of the Party to deepen reform of the institutions of the CPC and government," the statement said.
The meeting stressed that governments at all levels must uphold the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, and fully implement the reforms.
The meeting also required governments at all levels to rally closely around the CPC Central Committee with Xi at the core and act on the institutional reform plan, which is expected to be passed at the first session of the 13th National People's Congress.
"Governments should implement the reform plan actively, establish coordinated systems to promote and carry out the reform tasks, and finish the collaboration work carefully and deeply," the statement added.
