DHAKA, March 24 (Xinhua) -- A Malaysia-bound flight of Bangldeshi private US-Bangla Airlines with 164 passengers and crew onboard made a safe emergency landing 15 minutes after taking off at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
US-Bangla spokesman Kamrul Islam told journalists that the plane's pilot got a false signal from the aircraft after taking off at 8:45 a.m. local time.
Due to this reason, he said, the plane flew back to Dhaka and made an emergency landing.
According to the spokesman, the flight resumed its journey to Malaysia about two hours later upon obtaining clearance to fly from relevant authorities.
"No technical glitches were found after its emergency landing."
The official, however, said the plane made the emergency landing with all passengers and crew onboard safe.
The incident took place just weeks after the airline's plane crashed during landing in Kathmandu, Nepal, leaving so far 51 people dead.
