PARIS, March 28 (Xinhua) -- German legend Jurgen Klinsmann will be a special guest at the French League Cup final later this month, French professional football league (LFP) announced on Wednesday.
The 24th edition's final will be played between defending champions Paris Saint-Germain and last season's beaten finalists Monaco in Bordeaux on Saturday.
Klinsmann will carry the trophy to its stand at the center of the pitch at the Matmut Atlantique to conclude the opening ceremony.
Klinsmann signed with Monaco in 1992, before scoring 29 goals in 65 Ligue 1 matches during his two-season spell at the club.
PSG are bidding to extend their tournament-winning streak to a record five in Saturday's finale.
