RAMALLAH, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian medics said that a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli forces Tuesday in eastern Gaza Strip.
Spokesperson for Palestinian Health Ministry Ashraf Al-Qedra said that Ahmad Arafa, 25 years old, was fatally shot in the chest in clashes with Israeli army forces east of Al-Buraij refugee camp in Gaza.
This raises the death toll in Gaza clashes to 17 since last Friday, where three were killed in bomb shelling by Israeli artillery and the rest were killed during the Friday rally at the borders with Israel.
Massive clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli soldiers broke out Friday in a six-week rally, known as "Great March of Return." The rally is expected to go on until May 15.
