DONGGUAN, China, April 3 (Xinhua) - Lester Hudson scored the game-high 29 points to inspire Liaoning to a 96-84 away win over Guangdong, leading 3-0 in the 2017-18 CBA best-of-seven semifinals here on Saturday.
Hudson dominated the game as he made 11 out of 21 attempts and 3 out of 3 from free-throw line. Guo Ailun had 16 points and dished out 4 assists. Han Dejun had 14 points.
Guangdong enjoyed a 51-42 lead by the first half as Andrew Nicholson smashed 20 points in the second quarter.
Hudson stood out to awake his team with two three-pointers in the third quarter, when Liaoning were down by two digits. Combined with Guo Ailun, Liaoning delivered a 13-1 run and turned the game around to lead Guangdong 75-65 by the third quarter.
Liaoning refused to offer Guangdong any chance in the fourth quarter as they dominated both beyond the arc and in the paint.
Game 4 will be in Guangdong's home venue on Thursday. No team could survive from a 3-0 deficit to win the best-of-seven series in CBA history.
