RIO DE JANEIRO, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Roma and AC Milan are monitoring Fluminense striker Pedro and could make an offer for the Brazilian during the European summer transfer window, according to media reports.
The Lance news portal said that European talent scouts rate Pedro "on a similar level" to Flamengo's Real Madrid-bound forward Vinicius Junior.
Pedro has scored eight goals and provided five assists across all competitions this year. The 20-year-old, who made his debut for Fluminense in 2016, is contracted with the Rio de Janeiro outfit until the end of 2021.
Roma currently have four Brazilians in their squad: Goalkeeper Alisson, defenders Juan Jesus, Bruno Peres, and midfielder Gerson.
There are no Brazilians in AC Milan's squad, though goalkeeper Gabriel has been loaned out by the club to Empoli.
