KUWAIT CITY, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait launched Tuesday Intellectual Property Library to improve its business environment.
At the opening ceremony of the library, the Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khaled Al-Roudhan, said the library reflects eagerness of Kuwait to promote its intellectual property sector and improve the business environment index in the country.
The facility includes a digital library that will be connected to the creativity library of the World Organization for Intellectual Property (WIPO), he noted.
With the digital library, procedures of filling and registering a trademark are now available on line, reducing the measures to three months, instead of a year in the past, he said.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been hard at work to cope with latest technology, and to improve Kuwait's ranking on the business environment, the minister said.
