GAZA, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Dozens of Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli soldiers on Friday afternoon along Gaza's eastern border with Israel during the ninth Friday anti-Israel protests.
The protests are part of what the Palestinians call the "Great March of Return" rally, which has been organized every Friday at five different locations along Gaza's eastern border with Israel since March 30.
The Israeli army has killed 114 Palestinians and wounded around 13,000 others since then, according to the Gaza health ministry.
Medics said one Palestinian was injured by Israel's live ammunition and dozens suffered suffocation from tear gas during this Friday's demonstrations called "Carrying on Despite Blockade."
A day earlier, Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders said the protests in eastern Gaza will carry on until the Israeli blockade, which has been imposed on the coastal enclave for 11 years, is removed.
