KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, May 30 (Xinhua) -- At least three civilians have been confirmed dead and 11 others injured in a blast that rocked Afghan southern Kandahar city on Wednesday, provincial government spokesman Daud Ahmadi said.
According to the official, the blast happened in a market in Police District 5 at around 09:00 a.m. local time, killing three people on the spot and injuring 11 others, all civilians.
However, he couldn't say if the blast was a suicide attack or who is behind, adding investigation has been initiated into the incident.
