TEHRAN, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman on Monday dismissed a recent statement by the G7 in providing financial support to terrorist groups.
Bahram Qasemi refuted the allegations in the statement that Iran is destabilizing the Middle East region.
Iran has shown its concerns over peace and security in the region and has paid the cost in fighting terrorism, Qasemi said.
The United States and its allies' accusations would have no impact on Iran's constructive role in the region, he added.
At the end of a summit in Quebec of Canada on Saturday, the G7 issued the statement, accusing Iran of destabilizing the region and giving financial support to terrorist groups.
