DUBAI, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Four soldiers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday were killed in the Saudi Arabia-led military campaign in Yemen, UAE state news agency WAM reported.
WAM said the UAE General Command of the Armed Forces in Abu Dhabi offered its condolences to families of the personnel who lost their lives in the battle.
Coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia and UAE began on Wednesday morning an all-out offensive to liberate Yemeni Red Sea port city of Hodeidah from Iranian-allied Shiite Houthi rebels.
The coalition later announced "liberation" of Hodeidah after the Houthi militias ignored the grace period for their departure.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition has been fighting the Shiite Houthi rebels since March 2015 to support the internationally-recognized government led by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Saudi-led coalition accuses Iran of arming the Houthis, who have fired scores of ballistic missiles on Saudi troops and cities since the outbreak of hostilities.
