DUBAI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) leadership received on Friday well-wishers on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic feast which marks the end of Muslim's holy month of Ramadan, state-controlled UAE TV channels reported.

The UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan performed morning prayers with most members of the UAE government.

They also received well-wishers, local personalities and members of the foreign diplomatic corps at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital.

The two politicians also spoke to, through a live video conference, military personnel located in the Yemen war theater, the UAE daily The National reported.

The UAE is part of a Saudi-led Arab coalition which has been fighting the Shiite Houthi rebels since March 2015 to support the internationally-recognized government led by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
