CHANGCHUN, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Ren Guixin, the vice-captain of the Chinese women's national football team, spoke highly of Belgium at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
As an ordinary fan, the Chinese woman footballer shared her point of view as the World Cup starts its knockout phase on Saturday evening.
Ren said she is a big fan of Belgium. "They have shown enough passion in the field and always create great offensive opportunities."
"However, they should be more steady in their performance if they want to go further during the World Cup," she said.
Speaking of Lionel Messi who scored his first goal with his right foot during this World Cup, Ren said it's not his usual way of scoring through his left foot, which means Messi was changing himself as well as Argentina for the victory.
Talking about Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, the 29-year-old international said, "both of them are super stars with great skills and good reputations, carrying upon more responsibilities and pressure than others."
"In order to guide their teams to go further, they need more support from their teammates in the field," Ren said.
As a professional footballer, Ren had her vivid memories of playing in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, conceding that the stress was beyond imagination.
In 2019, Ren would lead the Chinese team to feature in the FIFA Women's World Cup. "We are making preparation and I hope Team China will go further at the World cup."?
