TORONTO, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Canada's main stock market fell Wednesday amid the loss of energy stocks.
Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index went down 131.40 points, or 0.79 percent, to close the day at 16,417.32 points.
Trevali Mining Corp. plummetted 8.05 percent to 0.80 Canadian dollar, First Quantum Minerals Ltd. dropped 7.07 percent to 18.39 Canadian dollars, and Lundin Mining Corp. fell 2.59 percent to 7.53 Canadian dollars.
Bombardier Inc. climbed 0.56 percent to 5.43 Canadian dollars while Prometic Life Sciences Inc. surged 33.33 percent to 0.92 Canadian dollar.
The most heavily traded shares by volume were Bombardier Inc., Altagas Ltd. and First Quantum Minerals Ltd.
