CHANGCHUN, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) side Jilin announced Tuesday they have signed former NBA player Dominique Jones, in a bid to boost the team's playoff hopes in the new season.
Jones was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. The guard was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks and played for the Texas team for three seasons, including the 2010-2011 season when the Mavericks won the NBA championship.
Jones was on the roster of the Jilin Northeastern Tigers during the 2014-2015 CBA season, where he averaged 36.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. His solid scoring performance helped the franchise secure their first playoff appearance in 10 years.
Jones also played briefly for several CBA teams including Shanxi, Qingdao and Jiangsu.
Details of the contract were not disclosed.
