BERLIN, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Borussia Dortmund have signed desired striker Paco Alcacer from FC Barcelona on loan, both clubs confirmed on Tuesday.
Dortmund reinforce their offense as the 24-year-old striker inked a season-long loan deal with an option to stay with the "BVB" on a four-year deal.
"We are very pleased that Paco Alcacer has opted for Dortmund. We are convinced that this type of player fits very well with our style of play. Paco proved his qualities at Valencia as a young player and scored many goals. In Barcelona, he worked with some of the best players in the world," Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc said.
Alcacer plays since summer 2016 for Barcelona and made ever since 51 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 8 assists.
"I am really looking forward to play in the Bundesliga soon. This is one of the best leagues in the world and the BVB with these unbelievable fans and stadium has something magical for every football player," the Spaniard said.
