Myanmar-China joint venture donates school building in Myanmar's capital

NAY PYI TAW, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar-China joint venture Southeast Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co., Ltd. (SEAOP) donated a three-storey school building in Myanmar's capital city Nay Pyi Taw Friday.

The three-storey building having 15 classrooms which can accommodate 50 students each was donated to No. (3), Basic Education High School, Pyinmana.

Zhang Qiang, chairman of SEAOP expressed his belief that the new school building could help produce human resources for the development in the country and serve as a bridge for concrete friendship between Myanmar and China.

Jointly owned by Ministry of Electricity and Energy Myanmar and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), the SEAOP has been conducting corporate social responsibility activities in Myanmar since 2012.

As of 2017, the SEAOP has implemented 87 educational projects which worth over 3.9 million U.S. dollars, as well as over 950,000 U.S. dollars' worth of health projects and 11.6 million U.S. dollars' worth of projects for regional development in Myanmar.
