RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid are reportedly in talks with Fluminense about a deal to sign highly rated striker Pedro.
Representatives from both clubs have discussed financial details and timeframes for a possible transfer in recent days, according to Brazilian press reports.
"The window is shut so no Fluminense player can leave now. If anything happens it will be at the end of the year," Fluminense president Pedro Abad said on Friday.
Fluminense have already rejected a 15 million-euro bid for Pedro from Mexico's Monterrey and an 8.5 million-euro offer from Bordeaux, according to the Uol news site.
The 21-year-old is the joint top scorer in Brazil's top flight this season with 10 goals in 19 matches. He has netted 19 times in 41 appearances for Fluminense across all competitions this year.
The No. 9 was last month rewarded for his impressive form by earning a maiden call-up to Brazil's national team, but he was forced to withdraw because of a knee injury. Enditem
