PHNOM PENH, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Monday led a group of government officials and business people to attend the 15th China-ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Expo in Nanning City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The expo will be held from Sept. 12 to 15 under the theme "Jointly building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the China-ASEAN Community of Innovation".
Sry Thamarong, a minister attached to the prime minister, said Hun Sen's entourage included Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong, Commerce Minister Pan Sorasak, Tourism Minister Thong Khon, and other dignitaries of the government and businessmen.
"This is the 11th time that the prime minister attends the expo," he told reporters at the Phnom Penh International Airport.
"This truly shows the prime minister's high attention to Cambodia-China relations in particular and to China-ASEAN relations in general."
According to Thamarong, some 99 Cambodian companies have their products or services displayed in almost 150 booths at the expo.
"The China-ASEAN Expo has provided enormous benefits to ASEAN region, and Cambodia has got a lot of advantages, reflecting through increases in trade, investment, and tourism between Cambodia and China," he said.
During his stay in China, Hun Sen will also meet with some Chinese dignitaries and business leaders as well as grant an interview to the Chinese media, he said.
After attending the expo, Hun Sen will continue his trip to Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, to attend the World Economic Forum on ASEAN, Thamarong added.
