TOKYO, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks lost ground Wednesday morning as semiconductor issues retreated tracking an overnight fall of similar issues on Wall Street.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 92.93 points, or 0.41 percent, from Tuesday to 22,571.76.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 12.27 points, or 0.72 percent, at 1,686.64.
Land transportation, electric appliance and machinery-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
