LONDON, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.49 percent, or 36.20 points, to close at 7,367.32 points.
Associated British Foods,a British multinational food processing and retailing company, soared 2.70 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Rio Tinto increased by 2.66 percent and 2.54 percent, respectively.
Burberry Group,a global luxury brand, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.88 percent. GVC Holdings, a sports betting and gaming group, dropped 2.75 percent. Kingfisher, a home improvement retailer, fell 1.74 percent. Enditem
