BEIRUT, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Mohamed Choucair, head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, emphasized Friday the need to remove all obstacles facing the export of Lebanese products to the Brazilian market.
"The presence of Lebanese businessmen in Brazil already facilitates the increase in trade between the two countries but more efforts should be done to promote Lebanese products in Brazil," Choucair said.
Choucair's remarks came during his meeting with President of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce Rubens Hanoun.
The meeting aimed at discussing ways of strengthening bilateral ties between Lebanon and Brazil.
Hanoun praised the efforts made by Choucair to develop economic ties with Brazil, nothing that there exist a lot of opportunities for business between the two countries.
Millions of Lebanese headed to Brazil to leave behind the economic unrest, political turmoil and long periods of security instability that plagued Lebanon during the civil war years.
