ULAN BATOR, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- A five-day international calligraphy exhibition of traditional Mongolian script kicked off here on Monday, aiming to increase usage of the Mongolian script.
The eighth edition of the exhibition, titled "Script of Eternal Sky," is held at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery, with over 200 calligraphy and painting works on display.
The works were done by a total of 171 participants, including artists from China, Russia and France.
Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga, representatives of Mongolian culture and linguistics experts, as well as domestic and foreign amateurs of the traditional Mongolian script attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
