JAKARTA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- A total of ten nations have sent their soccer teams to a U-15 international soccer tournament scheduled to be held in Bali, Indonesia at the weekend.
The Bali International Football Championship 2018 is set to be played in the Pecatu sport stadium on Badung from December 1-10, the country's sport ministry said.
"This is the first international sport event to be held by the ministry," said Raden Isnanta, deputy minister for sport development at the ministry. China, Japan, Thailand, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines and Timor Leste will be at the tournament.
The official added that the event is aimed to promote sport tourism. For that reason it is scheduled to be held in the Bali resort island, the center of country's tourism industry. Indonesia will send two teams to the tournament.
The tournament will be officially opened on December 2 and the final match is scheduled to be played on December 9 in the Pecatu sport stadium.
