KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Fighting between government forces and Taliban outfit has left 11 insurgents dead in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Saturday, Qasim Azad, a police official in the restive province said Sunday.
The clash took place when the government forces ambushed a Taliban convoy in the restive Shah Wali Kot district Saturday evening killing 11 insurgents, the official said.
No security forces had been harmed in the fighting, the official added.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment.
