BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Five players scored in the double digits to help Qingdao defeat Shandong 121-92, snapping a three-game losing streak in the 20th round of the 2018-2019 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Saturday.
Qingdao launched a 7-0 run at the very beginning of the match, but Zhang Qingpeng and Wang Ruheng helped Shandong catch up quickly with three-pointers.
From the second quarter, Qingdao strengthened its attack and gradually enlarged the advantage to double digits. Although Shandong fought back in the final quarter, the home team still couldn't turn the tables.
Jonathan Gibson of Qingdao finished with a game-high 36 points. Dakari Johnson added 23 points and 23 rebounds. Wang Ruheng of Shandong contributed a team-high 25 points.
In the other matches played on Saturday, Guangdong crushed Guangsha 113-100, Jiangsu won over Tongxi 111-98, and Liaoning hammered Jilin 120-104.
