ULAN BATOR, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Gambagaa Ugalztsesteg, four-time world bodybuilding and fitness champion, was named the "State Honored Athlete of Mongolia", one of the highest state honors in the sport sector of the country, According to a decree of the Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga said Friday.
Ugalztsetseg won a gold medal in the Women's Athletic Physique +30 event in the 10th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships, held in Chiang Mai city, Thailand on Dec. 14-16, becoming the world champion for the fourth time.
"It is a great honor for me to become the State Honored Athlete of Mongolia. I will strive to do my best at all times," she said.
The 39-year-old athlete started as a bodybuilding and fitness athlete only about six years ago.
