KAMPALA, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Flights have resumed at Uganda's Entebbe International Airport after an Ethiopian Airlines plane was towed off the runway end.
Uganda's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in a tweeter message said the Boeing 737-800 aircraft was removed from the runway end after it overshot it earlier on Thursday.
"Please proceed with your scheduled flight in and out of Entebbe International Airport," the air transport regulator said.
Ethiopian Airlines Flight No. ET 338, overshot the runway on landing at 00:41 a.m. local time (2141 GMT) on Thursday. All the 139 passengers and crew onboard disembarked safe, according to CAA.
The plane was flying from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
