BRUSSELS, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- The 97th edition of the Brussels Motor Show opened its door on Friday in Brussels Expo with center around urban mobility and "future" technologies.
It will bring together all the big car manufacturers active in the European market, and aims to create a climate propitious to sales for more than 550,000 expected visitors.
New dynamics of urban traffic has become a focus of this year's show. A showroom has been dedicated to the theme of shared mobility, such as cars and shared bikes, and various means of transport designed to solve urban congestion. New financial and insurance services for the facilitation and transition towards "intelligent transportation" will also be displayed.
An exhibition on the theme "Dream of the Future" will showcase new technologies, including autonomous driving, smart cities, the Internet of objects and new energy sources. The organizers have also prepared a variety of exciting activities for the public to enjoy.
In addition, Brussels Motor Show has chosen this year to launch its new "Bike for Brussels"campaign, with the objective of raising awareness of cycling advantages and the need to respect all cyclists in the capital.
The motor show will last until Jan. 27.
