RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Colombia international center-back Felipe Aguilar has agreed to join Santos on a four-year contract, the Brazilian club said on Friday.
Aguilar will begin training with his new teammates within days after Santos reportedly agreed to pay Aguilar's former club Atletico Nacional 3.5 million euros for 100 percent of his economic rights.
"Felipe Aguilar is the latest signing for Santos. Welcome," the club said in a statement published on social media.
The 25-year-old, who has been capped three times for Colombia, is the second signing for Santos in the past month, joining Venezuelan midfielder Yeferson Soteldo.
Santos coach Jorge Sampaoli is also be seeking a left-back, a defensive midfielder and a central striker.
