SYDNEY, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The man charged with killing an Israeli student in Melbourne was remanded in custody until June on Monday by an Australian court.
Israeli student Aya Masarwe, 21, was murdered in Melbourne while speaking with her sister on the phone, and the body was found Wednesday morning near the campus of La Trobe University where she was on a study program.
Codey Herrmann, 20, was charged with the murder last week and appeared in the Melbourne Magistrate Court on Monday for remand, but he didn't make an application for bail.
