OTTAWA, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed in a house explosion which leveled the house in Caledon of Canada on Sunday morning, according to CTV.
Gas leak was detected when an emergency team arrived at the scene around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, but it is unknown whether this was the cause of the explosion.
Natural gas to the area has been shut off.
The blast sent debris flying across neighboring streets. Residents have reported damage to at least six homes, including broken windows and a damaged garage door.
Emergency staff rushed to the scene and evacuated a large perimeter around the blast site. Investigation in the cause of the explosion is under way.
