JAKARTA, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia will be one of the hosts of the MotoGP race for three years starting from 2021 after the country won bid to host the international race, the country's tourism minister Arief Yahya said here on Friday.

Minister Yahya revealed that the international sport competition was expected to attract over 100,000 foreign visitors coming into Mandalika of West Nusa Tenggara province, the venue of the competition.

President Director of Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Abdlbar M. Mansoer said that the ITDC clinched a promoter's agreement with Doma Sport SL for hosting the MotoGP 2021.

"We are certain to host the event in 2021 in Indonesia because we were the only signer of a contract agreement with Doma in January, we competed with Brazil, but finally, we won it," he said.

For that event, Indonesia will commence building a 4.32km circuit with 18 bends in Mandalika in October this year, according to him.

It will be a Street Race Circuit similar with those in Singapore and Monaco, he said.

"We only have two years of time, and all the construction is expected to be completed in time," Mansoer added.
