HANGZHOU, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Ningbo Zhoushan port in eastern China's Zhejiang Province saw roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) car exports through the port reach 10,000 on Tuesday, according to the port.
Most of the exports were done since the beginning of this year. A ship carring 2,602 cars left the port for Malaysia and Israel Tuesday.
Ningbo Zhoushan Port has seen a growing business from ro-ro car shipping over the years, and will continue to tap the potential markets in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, said an official with the port.
The Port is the busiest port in China with a cargo handling capacity surpassing one billion tonnes last year.
