PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan, March 28 (Xinhua) -- At least four militants were killed as a clash erupted Wednesday outside Pul-e-Khumri, the capital of northern Baghlan province, army spokesman in northern region Mohammad Hanif Rezai said Thursday.
According to the official, the clash erupted in Bagh-e-Shamal and Mulayan areas outside Pul-e-Khumri city on Wednesday afternoon and lasted for a while, as a result, four armed Taliban insurgents were killed and four other injured.
No civilians and security personnel had been hurt in the fighting, the official said.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report.
