BEIRUT, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's state security arrested Tuesday four Syrian nationals at Beirut's airport before the take-off of their plane for holding forged Iraqi passports, the National News Agency reported.
The four Syrian nationals were arrested after the airport security inspected a Syrian citizen and found that he has information about people traveling with forged Iraqi passports and fake stamps.
The four Syrians were transferred to the related judicial bodies for further investigations and other legal procedures.
Less than a week ago, Lebanon's state security has also arrested a Syrian woman for selling forged passports to Syrians in Lebanon.
The woman has admitted offering forged passports and documents for Syrians trying to travel to Turkey and other European countries at a starting price of 6,000 U.S. dollars per passport.
